My name is Hangli Ge (葛杭丽 | 葛杭麗). I am currently a Project Lecturer at the University of Tokyo. My research topics include ubiquitous computing, IoT, signal processing, spatio-temporal big data, knowledge graph, especially in the fields of smart city, traffic optimization, urban resillience, etc. I also have R&D experience in the telecommunication industry.

Traditional AI models for traffic prediction rely on purely data-driven approaches, which often struggle with accuracy or interpretability, especially in unseen traffic dynamics. Incorporating physics-informed (PI) AI integrates fundamental traffic or human mobility flow theories into deep learning models, ensures that predictions remain physically consistent, leading to more reliable and interpretable traffic forecasts.
✨Topic 2: Complex Dynamic Systems for Urban Resillience
Complex dynamic systems theory provides a framework for analyzing how urban systems respond to shocks, stresses, and long-term change, emphasizing feedback loops, emergence, and resilience. By capturing these dynamics, this approach supports more robust strategies for planning, risk management, and sustainable urban development in the face of uncertainty.
